Job Description:
Join our client's growing data team to design and build scalable, serverless ETL/ELT pipelines within AWS. This role is highly hands-on and focused on delivering production-grade data architecture that supports CRM, Sales, and enterprise analytics initiatives in a fast-moving, AI-forward environment.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Design and develop production-grade ETL/ELT pipelines in AWS
Ingest, stage, and process data using Amazon S3 and related AWS services
Build and maintain serverless workflows using AWS Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, and EMR
Develop curated data layers optimized for analytics and business applications
Optimize SQL queries and data workflows for performance and cost efficiency
Support Snowflake data loading, transformation, and ELT processes
Implement scalable, fault-tolerant architectures across multiple environments
Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineering teams to support business objectives
Requirements:
Must-Haves:
4–6 years of hands-on data engineering experience
Strong AWS experience (Glue, Lambda, EMR, S3, Step Functions)
Hands-on Snowflake experience with ELT workflows
Strong Python (including PySpark) and advanced SQL skills
Experience building scalable, fault-tolerant ETL/ELT pipelines
Experience working in enterprise environments
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Ability to work onsite in Tysons, VA three days per week
Nice-to-Haves:
Experience with RDS/PostgreSQL
Experience with CDC, partitioning, or delta processing
Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform or CDK)
AWS Certification (Data Engineer or Solutions Architect)
Experience supporting CRM, marketing, or sales analytics platforms
