Job Description:
The Senior Project Manager oversees multiple moderately sized internal and customer-facing projects, driving on-time, on-scope, and on-budget delivery while coordinating cross-functional teams and communicating outcomes to senior and executive stakeholders.
Job Summary
Coordinate internal and external resources to deliver successful customer implementations and consultative projects on time, within scope, and within budget.
Develop detailed project plans and monitor progress, managing changes to scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate verification techniques.
Conduct project kickoff meetings, assign work, communicate individual roles and expectations, and ensure team members have the tools and training needed to perform effectively.
Perform risk management activities to minimize project risks and escalate issues to management as needed.
Provide project status reporting, assess variances from the project plan, and implement changes to keep projects within time, cost, and quality objectives.
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, standards, procedures, and quality objectives including progress metrics.
Coach or mentor less experienced team members and collaborate effectively within a matrix organization.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a related field, specialized training, or equivalent work experience.
5 years of IT project management experience or equivalent team leadership experience.
Proficiency with project and productivity tools including Smartsheet, MS Excel, MS Teams, and MS PowerPoint.
Excellent written, verbal, and client-facing communication skills with the ability to engage both business and technical stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
PMP Certification.
Experience working in Banking, Compliance, or Professional Services.
Familiarity with Wrike, Salesforce, MS Visio, or MS Word in a project management context.
Solid technical background with understanding or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies.
