Job Title: Technical Product Manager (Middleware & External Data)

Compensation Range: $68/hr – $77/hr W2
Job Description:
Lead execution and delivery of a greenfield backend middleware and external data platform supporting a next-generation local media application.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Act as central coordinator across internal product, infrastructure, security, and external engineering teams
-
Lead daily standups and Agile ceremonies across local and offshore teams
-
Drive delivery of backend middleware and data ingestion pipelines
-
Oversee high-volume external data ingestion (traffic, crime, weather, local sources)
-
Coordinate LLM-powered pipelines for summarization, tagging, and structuring data
-
Track timelines, remove blockers, and manage risk across multiple workstreams
-
Ensure enterprise security, infrastructure, and compliance alignment
-
Monitor system health, performance metrics, and ingestion-to-publish latency

Manage outsourced backend development pods and enforce architectural standards
Requirements:

Must-Haves:

7–12 years of Technical Product/Program/Platform Management experience

Experience delivering backend, middleware, or data platform projects

Strong AWS/cloud-native expertise

Working knowledge of Kubernetes (EKS) and Terraform (IaC)

Understanding of microservices and event-driven architectures
-
Experience coordinating offshore/external engineering teams
-
Familiarity with AI/LLM-enabled projects or data enrichment pipelines

Experience working in enterprise and fast-paced, build-from-scratch environments

Strong cross-functional stakeholder management skills

Media, adtech, martech, or data-heavy industry background

Experience with high-volume data scraping or ingestion platforms

Exposure to OpenSearch/Elasticsearch or vector databases
