Job Description:
The client is seeking a Community Relations Coordinator to help strengthen and maintain relationships with local nonprofits, neighborhood organizations, and community stakeholders while supporting broader community engagement initiatives.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for community organizations and local stakeholders
- Coordinate community outreach initiatives with communications, legal, and government affairs teams
- Support plant leadership with messaging and responses to community concerns
- Identify sponsorship, grant, volunteer, and partnership opportunities within the local community
- Represent the client at community events, association meetings, and local committees
- Facilitate communication between residents and operational leadership to ensure concerns are addressed appropriately
- Track and measure the effectiveness of community investment and outreach initiatives
- Assist with planning and execution of community engagement programs and events
Requirements:
- Must-Haves:
- 3–5 years of experience in community relations, communications, nonprofit engagement, or public affairs
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience managing multiple stakeholder relationships
- Comfortable representing an organization publicly at meetings and events
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends for community events
- Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience supporting community engagement initiatives within a corporate or manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with nonprofit organizations and neighborhood association structures
- Experience managing sponsorships, grants, or volunteer initiatives
- Social media or community outreach campaign experience
- Budget management experience
