Job Description:
We are seeking a UX Lead Designer to shape user-centered strategies and deliver exceptional customer experiences across the loan product ecosystem. This role requires a strong mix of product design expertise, leadership, and strategic thinking. The designer will champion design excellence, mentor talent, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to integrate user insights, market context, and business goals into impactful solutions.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Lead UX design strategies rooted in research and customer insights across the loan experience.

Champion design excellence and communicate the business value of UX at all organizational levels.

Create strong, cohesive design systems blending brand expression with product functionality.

Mentor and coach design team members, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture.

Partner with Product, Engineering, Analytics, and Marketing leaders to align roadmaps with user needs.

Drive operational efficiency by streamlining workflows and improving design team velocity.

Use data and metrics to track design quality, business impact, and overall performance.

Advocate for customer-centric strategies through UX research, competitive analysis, and market insights.

Provide thought leadership to evolve design and research practices.
Requirements:
Must-Haves:
- 10 years' experience in product design or user experience.
- 5 years' experience leading design projects, including managing designers or teams.
- 3 years' experience partnering with executive leadership on strategic initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Product Design, Interaction Design, Fine Arts, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- A portfolio showcasing end-to-end thinking, problem-solving, and strong design craft across multiple projects.
- Broad understanding of interaction, visual, content, motion, and research design disciplines.
- Proven track record of shipping products across platforms and regions; experience mentoring other designers.
- High proficiency with design and research tools (e.g., Figma, Miro, Usertesting.com, Dovetail, or similar)
