Job Description:
Hands-on technical leader responsible for building, scaling, and transitioning core fintech platform engineering in-house while shaping architecture and team growth.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Partner with VP of Engineering to define technical direction and roadmap

Lead architecture, development, and deployment of core platform features
-
Build across the stack using Go (backend), React Native (mobile), TypeScript, PostgreSQL, and AWS
-
Own integrations with BaaS and third-party fintech APIs
-
Implement secure API design (OAuth2, JWT) and data protection best practices
-
Scale infrastructure using DevOps best practices (CI/CD, IaC, monitoring)

Mentor engineers through code reviews and engineering best practices
-
Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and leadership
-
Support hiring efforts as engineering is brought fully in-house
Requirements:

5 years of professional software engineering experience

1–2 years of technical mentorship experience

Strong backend development experience with Go (Golang) in production

Experience building mobile applications with React Native

Strong AWS experience (Lambda, ECS, RDS, S3, IAM)

PostgreSQL expertise (schema design, query optimization, migrations)

Production experience with TypeScript
-
Experience integrating BaaS or third-party fintech APIs
