Job Description:
Lead end-to-end technology and application development projects within a financial services environment, partnering with engineering, data, business, and senior stakeholders to build project plans, manage execution, and deliver complex technology initiatives.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Build detailed project plans from scratch and manage end-to-end project execution.
- Provide 60–70% oversight of project planning, tracking, execution, and delivery.
- Lead technology, data, and application development projects.
- Translate business objectives into requirements, roadmaps, timelines, and deliverables.
- Coordinate engineering, data, operations, finance, and third-party teams.
- Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, milestones, and timelines.
- Use Jira for project tracking, backlog management, sprint planning, and status reporting.
- Partner with technical teams on APIs, integrations, data architecture, and solution design.
- Support Agile delivery, SDLC governance, testing, release planning, and production readiness.
- Create project documentation including business requirements, process flows, runbooks, and SOPs.
- Track project success metrics, stakeholder alignment, adoption, and continuous improvement.
- Identify process gaps and automation opportunities and drive solutions through implementation.
- Communicate project status, risks, and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements:
- 5–10+ years of technical project management, program management, product management, or senior business analysis experience.
- Experience working for a financial services/fintech organization or technology company.
- Proven experience managing application development projects.
- Strong Jira experience.
- Demonstrated ability to build project plans from scratch.
- Strong PMO/project governance experience.
- Experience overseeing approximately 60–70% of project planning, execution, and delivery activities.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile delivery, and software development processes.
- Experience partnering with engineering and data teams on technical requirements, APIs, integrations, and solution design.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into clear business language.
- Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable working in ambiguous environments.
- Private credit, structured credit, or insurance experience.
- Private equity or investment management experience.
- Experience with portfolio monitoring, risk management, or investment-related technology.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with Sigma or similar analytics/reporting platforms.
- Working knowledge of Python, SQL, Java, JavaScript, or .NET.
- Experience with cloud-native platforms, microservices, data pipelines, or event-driven architecture.
- Experience with CRM, portfolio monitoring, data warehouse, or low-code platforms.
- Experience with change management, training, and process improvement.
