Job Description:
Lead brand and culture strategy for a major consumer brand, connecting business objectives, cultural insights, audience behavior, and creative opportunities across multiple product and business lines.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Lead development of strategic briefs, territories, and activation frameworks.
- Oversee strategic planning across multiple business workstreams.
- Translate consumer, category, cultural, and social insights into actionable recommendations.
- Ensure strategic continuity from brief development through execution.
- Connect learnings across programs and identify opportunities to scale successful ideas.
- Partner closely with creative, social, cultural, earned, and account teams.
- Identify emerging cultural signals, behaviors, and consumer opportunities.
- Develop strategic tools, frameworks, and processes that improve quality and consistency.
- Support proactive innovation, seasonal moments, product launches, and cultural activations.
- Coach and elevate junior strategists while maintaining a high bar for strategic quality.
- Navigate stakeholder dynamics and build alignment across teams and workstreams.
- Tie strategic recommendations directly to business objectives and measurable impact.
Required Qualifications:
- 12–17 years of strategy experience, with approximately 15 years preferred.
- Extensive recent agency experience.
- Strong Client background; Food & Beverage experience strongly preferred.
- Deep expertise in brand strategy, with working knowledge of social strategy.
- Proven ability to develop and oversee high-quality strategic briefs from concept through execution.
- Strong understanding of consumer behavior, culture, and pop culture.
- Highly fluent and naturally engaged with current cultural trends and conversations.
- Demonstrated ability to connect strategy across multiple products, business lines, and consumer touchpoints.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to connect strategy to business impact.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Highly proactive, decisive, and comfortable operating in complex agency environments.
- Comfortable working directly with senior client stakeholders.
- Food & Beverage or other highly culturally relevant Client experience.
- Experience with brands that leverage music, entertainment, sports, festivals, or other cultural moments.
- Experience with retail, grocery, ready-to-drink, or at-home consumer products.
- Experience integrating brand, social, cultural, earned, and creative strategy.
- Experience coaching and developing senior or junior strategists.
