Job Description:
We are seeking a creative and strategic Social Media Strategist to develop and execute a viral social media campaign centered around a fictional character in the lead-up to a major entertainment release. This individual will own the social strategy, identify growth opportunities, and build audience engagement across multiple social platforms.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a social-first marketing strategy for a fictional character.
- Build and grow the character's presence across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook.
- Create viral content strategies that generate audience engagement and anticipation.
- Develop platform-specific content and distribution plans.
- Identify and capitalize on social trends and viral opportunities.
- Advise on paid media strategies to amplify campaign performance.
- Develop clipping and content repurposing strategies for short-form platforms.
- Collaborate closely with creative leadership and production teams.
- Analyze campaign performance and optimize content strategies for growth.
Minimum Requirements:
- Proven success driving social media growth and viral campaigns with multi-million view content.
- Strong strategic mindset with the ability to develop innovative social campaigns.
- Experience building audiences across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook.
- Deep understanding of social media algorithms, trends, and audience behavior.
- Experience creating or executing social strategies for entertainment, creators, or character-driven brands.
- Strong portfolio showcasing measurable social growth and viral success.
- Ability to collaborate with creative and production teams while providing modern social-first expertise.
- Content creation experience.
- Video editing and production experience.
- Experience filming social-first content.
- Background in entertainment marketing or creator economy campaigns.
- Experience developing online personas or fictional characters across social platforms.
