Job Description:
The Data Conversion Lead will own and coordinate end-to-end data conversion activities for a large-scale Oracle ERP modernization initiative, ensuring legacy data is accurately assessed, mapped, transformed, migrated, reconciled, and validated for Oracle Fusion. This individual will serve as the central point of coordination between internal IT teams, business subject matter experts, and the Oracle implementation partner to drive data readiness, manage dependencies, and support a successful ERP transformation.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the full data conversion lifecycle for an Oracle ERP migration, from source data assessment through transformation, migration, reconciliation, and validation.

Coordinate data conversion activities across IT, business stakeholders, internal subject matter experts, and the Oracle system integration partner.

Partner with technical teams on data extraction, schema mapping, transformation logic, destination data requirements, and Oracle Fusion import templates.

Review legacy data structures, identify inconsistencies, duplicates, and quality issues, and coordinate remediation and standardization efforts.

Understand dependencies across ERP modules and assess how upstream data inputs and business decisions affect downstream processes.

Drive front-loaded data readiness activities to identify and resolve data issues early, reducing risk and compression of work closer to go-live.

Coordinate mock data loads, track conversion progress, and assist with troubleshooting, reconciliation, and validation as needed.

Work with business subject matter experts to establish mapping rules, confirm data requirements, validate converted data, and resolve discrepancies.

Manage schedules, resources, dependencies, risks, issues, and action items across the data conversion workstream.

Develop and maintain technical documentation covering data mapping, transformation rules, validation criteria, reconciliation results, and conversion processes.

Ensure data transformation decisions and processes are traceable, auditable, and documented.

Evaluate opportunities to leverage data transformation tools, including Palantir, to support data preparation and modernization activities.

Coordinate with the Oracle implementation partner to ensure conversion activities align with required templates, standards, and implementation milestones.

Help balance demands on internal subject matter experts by organizing priorities, clarifying ownership, and ensuring timely decisions.

Must-Haves:

10+ years of experience in data-related roles, including data management, data transformation, migration, conversion, or data quality.

5+ years of ERP data experience.

Experience leading at least one full-lifecycle ERP implementation, including end-to-end data conversion and migration.

Strong understanding of ERP data structures, including how modules interact and how upstream inputs affect downstream business processes.

Hands-on experience with data mapping, extraction, transformation, migration, reconciliation, and validation.

Ability to understand complex source data and determine how it must be transformed to meet destination system requirements.

Experience coordinating data conversion work across IT teams, business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and implementation partners.

Strong project management skills, including resource coordination, schedule tracking, risk and issue management, and dependency management.

Experience developing technical documentation for data conversion activities, transformation rules, mapping decisions, and validation processes.

Manufacturing industry experience is required.

Ability to work during core business hours of 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Eastern Time.

Oracle Fusion ERP implementation and data migration experience; this is strongly preferred.

Experience migrating from legacy Oracle E-Business Suite (11i/EBS) to Oracle Fusion.

Experience with Palantir or similar data transformation and data management platforms.

Experience supporting Oracle ERP system integrators and working with their data templates, mapping guidance, and validation rules.

Experience in defense or Department of Defense (DoD)-related industries.

Experience with Jira or similar project tracking tools.

Experience supporting large-scale ERP modernization programs involving extensive legacy customizations and business process standardization.
