Creative Director, Experiential (Freelance)
Location: Remote (PST hours), with onsite travel to San Francisco as needed
Start Date: November 2nd
Duration: 6+ months, freelance (20 hrs/week)
Compensation: $80–90/hr (W2)

About the Opportunity
Join a fully staffed creative team at the very start of a major experiential program for a leading global tech brand. The client wants this year's event to break the mold of typical B2B experiences. Think SXSW-level energy: fresh, modern, interactive, and boundary-pushing.
You'll come in at the ground floor, starting with a strategy kickoff to align on the brief. From there, you'll set the creative vision for a cohesive, standout brand journey from first impression to final takeaway.
What You'll Do
- Lead concepting across visual identity, brand activations, and booth/environment design
- Develop bold, interactive activation ideas. These are central to the experience.
- Bring spatial thinking to temporary architecture, wayfinding, and branded environments
- Concept motion content for large-format LED and immersive installations
- Present concepts to the client and guide them through creative decisions
- Lead the team and direct designers from concept through execution
- Adapt quickly as priorities evolve in a fast-moving, collaborative environment
Key Dates & Travel (all travel paid)
- Nov 12: San Francisco site visit
- April 5–8: Event in San Francisco. You'll need to be available and onsite for the full event.
Minimum Requirements:
- 7–10+ years as a Creative Director
- Background in spatial design, art direction, and branding
- Experiential agency experience with major tech clients (e.g., Amazon/AWS, Meta, TikTok, Airbnb, Snap, Dell, etc)
- Hands-on experience concepting motion for physical spaces and large LED displays
- Strong presentation skills and confidence leading client conversations
- Excellent communication, flexibility, and a calm, roll-with-it approach to change
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with enterprise or cloud tech brands and their brand systems
